WHAT IS THAT SPECK???
A sunset is a sunset is a sunset. And yet each one is unique in its own way. So I post some shots of the Long Beach skyline at sunset. Only this time they were captured from the Seal Beach pier. Oops! Actually, the first two shots are from a small park area right next to the Seal Beach pier.

If you look very carefully at the shot below, you’ll notice a black speck just above the sun. Whatever could this be? Dirt on my camera lens? Big Bird flying over Long Beach? Oh wait, Big Bird can’t fly. Although if he can talk, who knows maybe he can fly, too. UFO?

The black speck? I know – how could anyone tell from that shot? You can’t. I thought maybe someone would guess it.
It’s a helicopter that had flown over. I patiently waited for him to enter the frame before snapping the shot.
OK, I’m hungry. Does anyone know of a good place to eat in Seal Beach? A great burger? A fresh salad? Maybe a taco? Suggestions?
Thanks for the visit. I’ll see you tomorrow. Keep shooting.

I guessed helicopter if you believe me! I’ve been watching dragonflies soaring high above, and thinking they looked like little helicopters so perhaps they’ve been on my mind!

Oh, you revealed the answer in your post. I got it before I got to the bottom though, of course it was a helicopter. They look an awful lot like dragonflies.

I was going to guess helicopter too
you got some great shots here … the moon pic is super and I always find it a bit odd when the moon shines in bright blue skies … odd and wonderful
I see that you are a “real” photographer 🙂

I was staring at what looked to be a bird in the first picture before I realized you meant the helicopter. 🙂 Beautiful pictures!

Thanks for the wonderful compliments! Wow! To be called a “real” photographer is very much appreciated. I’m still learning. I guess that’s the secret – always be learning.
