MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA!!
I wish you a Merry Christmas from the pier at Huntington Beach, California.
The shot below is from the pier looking east toward Pacific Coast Highway.
And, this shot below is from the pier looking west toward Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier.
I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of this holiday season! Β Thank you for stopping by, sharing comments, and joining me in this wonderful photographic journey!
Great photo of the sunSET, also the pier shots. Merry Christmas to you, too, Steve.

Beautiful shots. I really like the first one with the sunset view behind it. It’s warming to someone who has spent the day out in the snow. π

Thank you Robin! A day in the snow isn’t so bad…is it? I’m actually heading to some snow tomorrow…for about 4 days! Then it’s back to the warmer weather of So Cal!

Boxing Day is a continuation of the Christmas festivities in the UK where people get together with other friends and relatives to have a less intimate celebration of Christmas. It’s mainly just an excuse to have a repeat of the big dinner, at least if your hangover’s not too bad :)! It’s not something universal, though, I don’t think everyone celebrates it, and I don’t actually know what the origin of it is…
I agree about the clouds, although I particularly like the clouds in the first.

Thanks for this information, Kai! I think I like this Boxing Day! You’re right about the clouds in the first shot! I think the first shot is somewhat unique because of the small area that is jutted out from the main pier. That gives me a nice perspective from the side. I do think the clouds are best in the first shot…but in the second shot, it makes for an interesting “night” sky – rather than just all black, I think. Thanks, Kai! Another great comment!

Steve, You won’t believe this. My wife and I just finished watching a movie made in 1993 called “Falling Down”. It starred Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall. The final scenes were filmed right there where Ruby’s is. Michael Douglas’ character gets shot and his body falls over the rail right next to the restaurant.

Seems so funny to see snowflake decorations at the beach in California. We just had the real thing for the first time this season a couple days ago.

But, I hope if you see something and can offer your expertise – you’ll send a quick comment at that time! I’m just happy to have you visit whenever you can! I’m actually in the snow right grabbing some shots from Zion national Park in Utah! Thanks for stopping by!
