THE ALLURE OF A SUNSET
Somehow, sunsets cast an allure that seems irresistible to me! Whether it’s the color variations, the romanticism, or the endless distinctive possibilities – I couldn’t say. But I do know living close to the beach seems to intensify that allure. Each sunset shoot leads me to conclude this will be my last for a while, only to find myself being drawn back again and again. It is the allure of a sunset!
So I give to you a few more of the famous Huntington Beach sunsets, which have been incredibly beautiful recently.
The recent weather patterns over southern California have made for some amazing sunsets. Of course, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a sunset that wasn’t amazing!
I ❤ sunsets. So many amazing colors all in one place. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Steve, you have outdone yourself again. Those are magnificent sunset pictures. I don’t know which would be my favorite.
I am reminde of the time recently when a lady asked me why I didn’t have more sunset photos. I told her that at my age, when it is time for the sun to set, I am on my patio drinking a margarita.

Fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing! We used to live in Fort Walton Beach, FL where we witnessed many a colorful sunset on the gorgeous white sandy beaches there. In contrast, we now live in the high desert in Arizona — also a great place to shoot amazing sunset pics!

Thanks 4! You never know whether the sunset will give you yellows, oranges, pinks, or any combination until it happens. That’s what fascinates me! Stop by any time!

Wow!! All I can say is wow I love them. I too seem to take so many sunsets. However, like you living in California, I live in Florida and am blessed with some amazing sunsets and can’t resist snapping a photo.
God bless.

HAHA! Had to laugh at your reason for not having too many sunset shots, though! Gotta love your humor, Bob!

Thank you so much for this kind comment, Aisling! That is the famous Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier – a two tier diner that is completely glass on the side that faces the ocean! It’s a great view and some pretty good burgers, too! Don’t wait too long to jump in again with another comment!

These are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your sunsets. We’re in our usual winter gray period right now and it’s great to be able to look at colorful skies. 🙂
I grew up on the east coast so for me it was all about the sunrise rather than the sunset.

Amazing pictures once again…I would love to see a sunset like this now…that would take me to the nice summer weather instead this blah and gray winter weather we have now. Or somewhere in the mountains up high where the sun shines…

Thank you, Robin! I’m very familiar with the winter gray having spent my childhood in Iowa. I love sunrises equally as much as sunsets. they’re different, but beautiful! Always love to read your comments!

I love the mountains, Jacqueline! There is so much beauty all around them. I was just telling Robin that I understand your gray skies, having grown up in Iowa. The sun could literally disappear for days, even weeks. But, spring will soon be upon us and that means everything will come cack to life!! Great comment – thanks for sharing it!

You are soooooo lucky to be able to see sunsets! On the east coast, there is only one spot where we can see them and it is very tricky to get to. When we visit Naples, FL we make a point to go see the sunset every night on the beach. It’s a lovely way to say ‘goodnight’!
Love the second image!

Beautiful sunset shots, Steve! Sorry about my absence from the blogging world recently, I’m finally back!
I know what you mean about sunsets, they’re all so unique and magnificent. I can never understand why people don’t spend their evenings gazing at them ifd they have the oportunity!
These are particularly stunning. I like the middle shot in particular. It has a certain strength and coherence in the composition. I love the way the pier is clearly picked out against the fiery sky… Excellent shots!
