THINGS HAVE A WAY OF SNOWBALLING!!!

Sometimes, it’s good when things begin to snowball!  This happens to be one of those times.

As you may know, I’ve received an invitation to be one of only ten artists invited to participate in The Waverider Ocean Art Exhibit and Charity Auction to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, as well as Wounded Warriors and the International Surf Museum.  I find myself both humbled and nervous to be included with this group of outstanding artists!

Due to a miscommunication on my part, I have accidentally booked myself to participate in this even, as well as the Huntington Beach Art Fair for this same weekend.  Reluctant to miss either opportunity to share my art with the southern California community, I’m scrambling to assemble another crew to handle my art at the Huntington Beach Art Fair – while a few blocks down Pacific Coast Highway, I’ll be exhibiting my art for the charity auction.  This will be an interesting challenge, but several have already stepped forward to help me make sure both venues are aptly covered.

Since I began participating in the Huntington Beach Art Fair, I’ve been fortunate to sell well over 100 of my coastal prints.  And now with the additional exposure of the charity auction and other regional art fairs this summer, I’m very excited about the progress I’m making in the landscape photography market.  I know I have so much further to go, but all in good time.  I’m happy with where I am, but working very hard to expand to even greater venues!

Mostly what I would like to say is, “Thank You!”  because you are the ones who have encouraged me along this journey!  You are the ones who have shared encouraging comments and crucial expertise.  To all the people who are walking down this path with me, I humbly thank you!!

This is the lighthouse that stands near the RMS Queen Mary in the Long Beach harbor. I captured this image by driving to Long Beach before sunrise, setting up for the shot, and waiting for just the right moment when the reflection would be at its best. Photography is all about preparation and patience.  I try to work on those attributes every day.

Thank you for all of your support.  I’ll be at the Huntington Beach Art Fair again this Friday.  It’s adjacent to the pier if you’d like to stop by.

And remember, you can find most of my photography on my website www.stevethomasphotography.com or my Facebook page Steve Thomas Photography.
