IMAGE OF THE DAY – A Time Gone By

What was once the cozy home of the dam keeper at Big Bear Lake, California, now lies in ruins upon its once strong foundation.  The hand-cut stone walls are still somewhat in place.  But most everything else lies in ruins, suffering from years of neglect.  So sad in many ways – the disappearance of history.

 

Built in 1890 but now beyond restoration, this once proud home has been doomed to crumble and ultimately fade away.
