In the upper countryside of Washington state, we came across this old country church. I have two presentations for you. I would love to know which you prefer.
First, the original color.
And, a desaturated pencil sketch rendering.
Thanks for stopping by!

Normally I would go for the first but I like the second better.

It is a tough one for me too. Thanks so much for the comment.

Love the second one more. Colours in the first are beautiful, specially the light in the leaves but a little bit distracting. The second version has more an “out of time” look which I like very much. Of course it is my personal view. Thanks for sharing.

Depends on what I’m looking for. The first one caught my eye with it’s vivid colors, but if I’m looking for vintage and ageless, the second one is great. Seems like we are always going to the past for the best of everything. Both are beautiful.

It’s interesting that when we portray something that already has age, it seems to display best in some form of aged processing. Black and white, sepia, or as in this case a pencil sketch. Thank, Car54.
