PHOTOGRAPHY TIP #32 – WHICH POSE?
What’s the one thing I fret about the most when shooting portraits? It’s the pose!
But in just a few short years, I have learned a few things that has eased my worry. Take a look at the following poses. Each has specific differences.
First, a more traditional setting. This is where all portrait photographers begin.
Next, a separated non-traditional setting. This where you have the opportunity to think outside the box. Break the rules. In fact, experiment with something that would surprise everyone. After all if it doesn’t work, your client never has to see it.
Finally, keep the camera shooting. Even when everything seems to fall apart, keep shooting. Sometimes the candid shots are the best. As it turned out, this shot was the family favorite of this shoot.
There isn’t a right or wrong pose. So try them all!
